My very good friend Barb took this photo in her backyard near Maple Branch road. Red Foxes are not native to Virginia but were introduced by the English during the colonial period.

This brilliantly colored fungus was found grwoing along Popes Head creek near the end of Evans Ford Road (Yates Ford X Evans Ford Road). Note the liverworts in the background.
